What it does

Prepares an Azure project for azd deployment by generating a plan, infrastructure, configuration, and Dockerfiles.

When to use it

Use only when the user explicitly requests azd or the project already contains azure.yaml.

Give it an Azure project to prepare; it analyzes the workspace, writes a deployment plan, gets approval, and generates project artifacts.
