When to use it

Use it for login or signup flows, social login, role-gated content, protected functions or pages, user roles, auth emails, or OAuth callbacks.

Give it a Netlify project and an authentication goal; it adds the corresponding Identity integration to the project.

Execute

Installs Netlify Identity

A Netlify project with Identity enabled in Project configuration > Identity is required.

HTTPS is required; custom domains must have HTTPS/SSL working before Identity integration.
