Keep your assistant-ui chats across sessions.
Guides adding persistent chat history, authentication, and feedback to assistant-ui apps with Assistant Cloud.
When to use it
Use when adding cross-session chat history, multi-device chat, feedback, uploads, or authentication, or troubleshooting persistence and authorization failures.
It changes how the agent integrates Assistant Cloud persistence and authentication into an assistant-ui app.
What you provide
The integration needs an Assistant Cloud project endpoint; baseUrl must match its Frontend API URL.
JWT authentication uses a callback returning a token, as an alternative to API-key or anonymous authentication; the token can come from a provider integration or a backend endpoint.
Server-side API-key authentication reads ASSISTANT_API_KEY from the environment and uses it with userId and workspaceId, as an alternative to JWT or anonymous authentication.
