Set up DNS routing and protection in Route 53.
Configures and diagnoses Amazon Route 53 DNS so users can direct traffic, monitor endpoints, filter domains, and resolve private names.
When to use it
Use for hostname mapping, traffic splitting or failover, endpoint monitoring, DNS filtering, centralized DNS, or hybrid private resolution.
Give it a DNS configuration request; it follows the matching procedure to configure AWS resources and report the result.
Requires ephemeral credentials from instance profiles, SSO/IAM Identity Center sessions, or role assumption rather than long-lived user access keys; verifies them with aws sts get-caller-identity.
