Build apps with the GitHub Copilot SDK.
Guides developers in building and troubleshooting applications with the GitHub Copilot SDK using current documentation and API conventions.
When to use it
Use when helping with GitHub Copilot SDK development.
It changes how the agent develops Copilot SDK applications by prioritizing official documentation and current API guidance.
What you provide
Normal SDK use requires a GitHub Copilot subscription; the alternative BYOK authentication path does not require GitHub Copilot authentication.
Standard Copilot authentication can use this environment variable or GH_TOKEN or GITHUB_TOKEN, as alternatives to stored CLI login or an explicitly passed githubToken.
The alternative BYOK path supplies model credentials through provider configuration. Their source is unstated, keys are not persisted, and resuming requires supplying the provider configuration again.
