Set app permissions before your mobile tests.

What it does

Sets or resets an app's runtime permissions on an iOS simulator or Android device for test setup.

When to use it

Use when permissions must be set before launch, a denied permission must be re-enabled, or a first-run prompt must be restored, and the app cannot make the change itself.

How to use it

Give it a device identifier, app identifier, permission, and grant, deny, or reset request; it changes that app's permission state.

What you provide

  • a device UDID or serial
  • an app bundle ID or package name
  • a runtime permission

Uses

Good to know

  • cannot be undone: iOS simulator; Android
