The preferred access route requires the configured LaunchDarkly MCP server, which authenticates through OAuth; an API access token is the stated alternative.
Direct REST access uses a token with projects:write permission as an alternative to MCP authentication. The agent asks the user to paste it for the session and must not search environment variables or configuration files for credentials.
Obtains environment SDK keys from the project API response for connecting the application to LaunchDarkly.
